It's silly that so many believe that the F.3 was a dogfighter when it wasn't designed as a dogfighter.. she was designed for the dinosaur interceptor scenario intercepting Soviet bombers at long range.. In fact pilot interviews on the type have said they didn't want the ''Knife fight in a telephone box'' situation unlike which the F-16 and MiG-29 were designed for... Plus the version of missiles you're using is the Skyflash which is short/medium range.. quite an obsolete missile and compared to the AMRAAM.. that missile later F.3's were equipped with later made the Tornado potent in it's role..

Now going up is impossible as it's literally 90% uptiers and there are f16's and f14s that will just hit you across the map. The F4j is feeling absolutely useless for me.

its not only that its a good plane, a important factor to take into account is that these super low tier games are mostly full of newcomers or lower skilled players, if you've been playing for a while its easy to dominate in there even with the most mediocre plane. i wish gaijin would add some sort of skill based matchmaking, atleast for the first tier or 2 because its not good for the game going at noobs like this.

the only issue with f14 is that the engines burn soo hot it makes it almost impossible to dodge ir missiles even with flaring

The plane was called the last gunfighter because when designed the Guns WERE considered as the main offensive weapon, missiles were secondary’s. After that later aircraft’s guns were the secondary’s and used as a last resort

Your retention is much better than the f86, you also turn less tightly and therefore bleed less energy, you also have more thrust because 2 engines. What you need to do is make your retention and thrust work for you, you need to rate him for a circle or a half (just dodging works as well), then go the opposite direction and force him to do another 180 to catch up. At that point your acceleration due to thrust and energy retention shine and you can simply run away. (just be sure not to merge and give him position while rating and then run away, that won't work unless they bleed a lot of energy, fly straight and make them do a 180 so they need more energy to get close to you and you can dodge them again) Rate fighting is always an investment, especially vs agile planes that can't hold energy as well as you. If they can't rate long enough to get something out of that investment, they lose energy while attempting it as long as you break off and make them turn after you. Since airfield AAA is not in a great state even 3 years later, I have posted my take on it on the forums: Airfield AAA should exist but not in the state it is in currently, It’s not realistic or fun when you instantly die no matter what if you get in 4-5 km of the airfield with guns that do nothing but explosions just instantly spawning around your aircraft programmed to kill you on the second strike. AAA should be a serious threat, but not impossible to defeat so that multiple players can still attack the airfield if someone chooses to camp it out there. Now that I’m talking about AAA in air RB anyway, AA guns that are not from the airfield should also be at least some sort of threat, they are currently programmed to miss every shot and you can only get hit if you are very very lucky. This game is about realism and AAA being either completely OP or not effective at all breaks the immersion. I am talking about low-tier as I don’t know what exactly changes in higher tier games.

the amaricans has also a SBD i think it names.. with pods and has also a blast of firepower and u get it on rank 1 i think BR-1.3 or some i use it to get revange on salty players or too good players from I get mad hahaha :D with pods u win EVERY Head on !!! makes so much fun too

I don't really see how the buccaneer s2 is bad, considering it gets flares, it has a fast speed limit of 0.9 mach, and it gets a huge payload of bombs and rockets and few aim-9 missiles. Just because it has no guns, doesn't mean it is not good
